About
This graduate-level micro-credential is designed to build systemic climate leadership skills among professionals across all sectors. It recognizes that climate change is a complex, multi-faceted challenge requiring coordinated action at many levels. The course curriculum covers climate change as a systemic issue – touching on implementation challenges, capacity-building, and the need for multidisciplinary teams and cross-sector collaboration. Key topics include: frameworks for climate governance, transformational leadership approaches, climate justice principles, and driving organizational change for sustainability. Participants apply theory to practice by working on a real-world climate challenge from their own workplace, developing strategies to lead and influence within their organization. A strong focus is placed on networking and peer learning: students engage with like-minded professionals from various industries, sharing insights and solutions. By the end, graduates are equipped not only with updated climate knowledge but with enhanced leadership capacity to champion climate action in their sectors.
Dates and Duration
13 weeks (one semester). The micro-credential is delivered part-time alongside work commitments. It involves weekly live online seminars or discussions and group activities. Estimated commitment is around 8–10 hours per week for lectures, readings, and assignments. The cohort size is limited (around 100 places)
